There are now 23 places around the world where you can get a masters or PhD degree in strategic foresight, if you wish. There are also a few places where you can get a shorter (mutiday) certificate in professional foresight. If you want to know more, certificates are a great way to start.

In 2007 I graduated from the U. Houston master’s program (MT in Studies of the Future). I then developed the UAT master’s program in technology foresight (MS in Emerging Technologies). I now teach as an adjunct lecturer at the U. Houston program (elective in Technology Acceleration).
There are a number of organizations working to grow strategic foresight, but I particularly recommend two: the Association of Professional Futurists (APF) and the Foresight Education and Research Network (FERN). I am a member of APF and a co-founder of FERN. Join us at a future APF, FERN, or other conference or event.
